What Melt Is

Melt is a free, 30-second guided reset for overwhelming moments.

It leads you through three simple stages: gently tense your body, slowly release the tension, and rest for a quiet moment as the screen, sound, and motion change along with you. There is nothing to learn, no score to improve, and no wrong way to do it.

Melt was designed especially with neurodivergent kids in mind, but it can be used by anyone who needs a brief pause when their body feels overloaded. It works on a phone, tablet, or computer, with no download, subscription, or account required.

Open it. Press begin. Freeze, melt, and return a little closer to steady.

Why Melt Works

When someone is overwhelmed, asking them to reason their way back to calm may be asking too much of a brain that is already carrying too much.

Melt starts with the body instead.

Its tense-and-release sequence is adapted from progressive muscle relaxation, an established technique that helps people notice the difference between physical tension and release. Research has found progressive muscle relaxation to be a promising, accessible method for reducing stress and anxiety, although it does not work identically for every person.

Traditional progressive muscle relaxation exercises can take several minutes and move through many individual muscle groups. Melt compresses the central idea into one soft, approachable cycle: briefly create tension, intentionally let it go, and give the body a moment to settle.

It is not therapy, medical advice, or a crisis intervention. It is simply a small, body-first tool that may help when words are hard to reach.

Privacy Without the Fine Print

A calming tool should not quietly become another system watching you.

Melt has no accounts, advertising trackers, cookies, personal identifiers, or user profiles. It does not record what you do, attempt to identify you, or follow you after you leave.

Only anonymous totals, such as the overall number of visits and button presses, are counted so SageBrain can understand whether the tool is being used. Nothing is stored about who you are, where you are, or what brought you there.

Close the page, and Melt forgets you existed. That is not a premium privacy feature. It is the default.

Building for Graham. Shared for Every Type of Mind

Melt began with my son, Graham.

Graham is neurodivergent, and like many kids, he does not always need another adult telling him to take a breath or explain what he is feeling. Sometimes he needs something simpler: a clear action, a gentle visual, and enough space for his body to find its way back toward calm.

That insight became Melt and helped inspire SageBrain, the company him and I are building around calm, supportive technology for kids, families, and the people who care for them.

SageBrain is founded on a straightforward belief: brains are not one-size-fits-all, so technology should not be either. Its products are designed to reduce friction, respect privacy, and support connection rather than surveillance.

Melt is free because a useful pause should not sit behind a login screen or subscription. It was inspired by one child, built by his dad, and shared in the hope that it might make someone else’s difficult moment feel a little more manageable.

Crafted for every type of mind.
